Greetings!!!

The 2014 Fate and Bennett Whitehead Family Reunion will be held at the Robins Air Force Base. The dates are July 25-27, 2014. Reservations are being made for the Museum of Aviation for the banquet and the Lodge for the picnic. At the museum, you will be able to see breathtaking model airplanes and the Lodge is a wonderful area right on the lake. There is a nice playground for the kids and lots of entertainment for the family. The price for the reunion is $75 for each adult, $140 for a family of two, $240 for a family of four (two adults and two children) and $50 for each additional family member over four. You may start paying on your money now or any time throughout the year, but we need the full amount by May 1, 2014.

Hotel reservations have been made at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Warner Robins (see "The Hotel" with map and other information further down this page). We know the economy is changing so we negotiated for the best rates possible. The double room rate is $89.00, plus tax, and $99.00, plus tax, for a suite (living room and a separate bedroom). The rooms come with a full breakfast, fruits snacks throughout the day and cookies and fruit at night. Reservations may be made anytime, starting now through June 15, 2014. After, June 15, 2014 the rooms will be at the regular rate and subject to availability only.

It is always a blessing to enjoy and help celebrate the longevity of the Whitehead family. God has really blessed the family because very few families are able to say that there is a person still alive and going strong at 104 years old. We encourage each and every one who can and will to please make plans to attend so we can enjoy our happy times, celebrating life instead of death. The reunion will culminate at Daddy, Granddaddy, Brother, Uncle, Cousin Tyme’s church - Big Popular Spring Baptist Church in Unadilla, Georgia.

Souvenir Memorial Booklet

Dear Family:

In preparation for the 2014 Fate and Bennett Family Reunion, it is time to reflect on those loved ones that have gone to eternal rest. There is nothing we can do to bring them back but we can remember them and the legacy that they left behind. Many of us may not know everyone who is deceased; therefore, it becomes imperative that we remember them.

The way we will do this is through the publishing of a souvenir booklet that will include photos of all our living relatives and a special memorial section for those who have gone on before. All we ask of you is that you send a family photo or photos, with name(s) of the individual(s) on the photo, their birth date, telephone number and email address. For the deceased loved ones, please send a photo of him/her with a small biography to commemorate the person and the accomplishments that he/she has made and the date of birth/death. Also indicate the relationship of the person to you.

The deadline for the photos and information for the book is April 30, 2014. This date is chosen to allow time for preparation, design and production. We ask that you send original pictures of the best quality possible. That is, photos that have been taken in adequate lighting, outside in daylight or by a professional. The best quality photos will insure the best quality results for our finished booklet. We will send the pictures back to you via return mail. During our banquet, we would also like to recognize our family’s accomplishments, so we ask that you send us all of your accomplishments: new births, marriages, graduations, sports achievement, and awards of any kind: excellence in test scores, academic achievement, etc. Any accomplishment is noteworthy and will be included.
